1. Walk Score - Walk Score helps people find walkable places to live. Walk Score calculates the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc.

    

   

 

2. MappyHour - Select your city and find the pubs with the best happy hour specials. Their database seems a bit sparse so chip in and add information about specials at bars in your area.

    

   

 

3. Wines and Times - This is useful for planning your next winery trip. They claim to have over 3200 wineries in their database.

    

   

 

4. WikiMapia - A mashup of a wiki and google maps. Contains user-contributed content pinned to a geographical location.

    

   

 

5. Taxi Fare Finder - Available for New York City, Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Toronto. Pick your starting point and destination and it will calculate an approximate cab fare.

    

   

 

6. Housing Maps - A mashup of craigslist housing classifieds and google maps. Outstanding! Now, if only they would add St. Louis.

    

   

 

7. WalkJogRun - This is a route planner and distance/speed calculator. You can also add routes to the map for others to see and browse routes in your neighborhood.

    

   

 

8. ip-adress - This will show you the approximate geographical location of a machine, given an ip address.

    

   

 

9. NPA-NXX Geolocator - Given the area code and first 3 digits of a phone number in the USA or Canada it will show you approximately where that land-line is.

    

   

 

10. AP News + Google Maps - Browse the latest AP News articles by location. This is a fun way to take in the news.
